Our Cat Boner

Our cat Boner died a few weeks ago. I’d been meaning to put up some pictures of him. He was a good cat. He wasn’t always the “fun” or “sociable” cat, but he was consistently good and got along with our other two cats. He was kind of the peacemaker. Unfortunately, something attacked him one night, and he died later the next day, even though it had seemed like he was getting better. Poor little guy. Anyhow, thanks for indulging me and checking these out.

Boner on the day he arrived at our house, whining and pleading. He was pretty cute.

Chubby definitely didn’t like Boner at first, though. They later became really friendly.

Angela put lipstick on him once. Let’s not think or talk about it again.

He really liked to sneak into the house and sleep on the bed. Here he found a pencil to destroy while he was at it.

Thanks for being our cat, Boner. We’ll miss you.

  1. Cat in drag…oh my gosh, I could hardly catch my breath, I was laughing so hard!

That second-to-last photo–what pretty golden-brown eyes he had. I didn’t think cats’ eyes came in any color other than yellow (or blue if they’re kittens).

But I’m sorry to hear you lost him, guys, especially that it happened with such a trauma. (Any idea what got at him?). It’s funny how they become such a fixture in everyday life. I lost a cat about a month and a half ago, too–it’s taking a while to get comfortable with the new “normal” for this household.

    • Hi Annie!

Thanks for your comment, and I’m glad you liked the picture of Boner in drag. I’m also sorry to hear about your cat.

We don’t know what got him, especially since he always avoided fights at all costs. But I guess it could have been something like a possum or a dog. He wouldn’t really let me check out his chest or belly, which is another reason I thought he was doing better. Anyhow, poor kitty.

      Thanks again, and take care!
      Ryan
