Wow, I was looking at the stats on my flickr account the other day and saw this:
That’s nuts! That means that my pictures have been seen over one million times since I started using flickr in 2006 or so. Of course, about 600,000 of those times can be attributed to my mom but still, 400,000 views is pretty impressive!
If you’re one of the people who looked at my pictures, thanks! I guess it doesn’t really confer any benefits to me (unless you feel like giving me money to look at my pictures) except a smug sense of self-satisfaction, but it’s still cool to know that people are checking them out. Especially since photography is just a hobby for me, I feel like I’ve learned a lot in the last few years, almost all through just throwing as much practice and time at the hobby as possible. The Picture of the Day project I’ve been doing for the last 3.5 years has also been a great exercise.
Anyhow, if you’re interested, I’ve also made an album of my favorite pictures that I’ve taken. I’ll put the slideshow below, but you can also check them out here.
Thanks for reading and looking!
