My birthday was Tuesday, and it was pretty OK, all things considered. I was a bit sick and lost my voice, but otherwise very healthy. I had to work in the evening, but on the bright side (I guess), I’ve got a job. And most importantly, I got to spend most of the day with my lovely wife, who made me this cake/dessert:

I’ve also got a baby on the way within the next month or so, and it’ll supplement our family nicely, as our only children so far have just been a bunch of cats.

I guess being 33 was pretty good. In many ways, I kept on keeping on, and that’s OK sometimes. I did some traveling, did some cooking, and got to sleep in. Really, what more can we ask for?
