I guess I’m surprised that this didn’t happen earlier in my Sitzbook project, but I apparently forgot I’d read a book. I suppose that happens if you read a book a week for about three years.
Anyhow, back in May I read a book called Life, The Universe, and Everything by Andy Fletcher. My student Pablo loaned it to me and I read it really quickly since I wanted to be sure to return it to him promptly, but I also promptly forgot it, since I apparently didn’t put it on my Sitzbook list.
So, I added it at number 14, replacing Popmusik Från Vittula, a book that I started and just couldn’t get into, and which I intended to finish by the end of the year. I suppose I still could finish it, but may not. We’ll see.
The book by Fletcher was OK, although it kind of blended together with a few other “religiousy” books I’d been reading at that point. I did write down these two quotes, though:
From last page:

Quote from Einstein, p. 198-199:
