I’ve Been Writing For A Photography Magazine

IMG_0535

Over the last few months I’ve been writing articles for a photography magazine called Photography Masterclass Magazine. It’s something that I have really enjoyed doing, and I’m a bit proud of it. And yes, they pay me to write them. Why does everyone keep asking me that?

Anyways, I’ve been meaning to mention it, but there’s a slight catch: the magazine is only available as an app on iOS or Android devices. In other words, if you want to read the articles, I can’t just send you to the website or ask you to pick up a copy at the newsstand (if newsstands even still exist: I know they definitely don’t here in Costa Rica, and may never have, for that matter). But what I can do is offer you this link. If you follow it, it’ll take you to a page for the magazine that will give you three free issues (well, it should–I’ve had luck with it off and on, but tell me if you try to go there and it doesn’t work). Also, you can find it on the App Store by following this link. And, of course, you can also pay for the issues–I think it’s a great magazine with good articles and pictures, and it’s worth the $2.99 per issue if you’re into photography.

It’s pretty clear and painless to install it on your device, and I’d be honored if you checked it out to read my articles. I’ve written a few that fall under the “Inspiration” category, such as “Shooting The Best Pictures You Can With The Camera You Have.” That one is about overcoming photographic envy and taking great pictures, regardless of the gear you have (or don’t have). I’ve also written about getting good pictures without a pro flash, and how to know when it’s time to upgrade your gear (they’re to be published in upcoming issues). And I’ve done some guides to new products like the Polaroid Cube and the Phantom 2 Photography Drone.

In any case, I just thought I’d mention it. If you do have a chance, please check out the link and the magazine. Thanks!
