Books, Pictures, and Butts

Some (presumably) insane people in Palmares have two poodles. They painted one blue and the other pink, and the dogs are often seen hanging out on the roof of the house. I have no idea what their deal is, but when I see this picture, I hear a John Williams song and I imagine Luke Skywalker looking at the Tatooine sunset.

It’s easy to see that I’ve not been posting to this blog much lately. The main reason is that I thought it would be a clever idea to change the domain name for this blog to just sitzblog.com. That was possibly a good idea, but what wasn’t necessarily a good idea was changing three other website domains at the same time. I’m still working on sitzmanabc.com and ryansitzman.com, but fortunately cinematicattic.com has been up and running for a long time (but it was also less complicated). I’ll post something to this blog when the other sites are ready to check out, though.

In the meantime, I’ve been keeping up with my projects and other things. Last year’s Sitzbook ended very well, and in fact I was able to read 52 books, so that’s great. What’s not as great is I didn’t do a review or post on each book, like I’d planned. But I did do most of them, which I’m happy about. I could go back and revisit some of them, but I think it’s better to just move forward and focus on the 2013 Sitzbook. I’m currently only on book 6, so I’m just slightly behind schedule, but I’ll keep reading. I’m going to also try to post at least a comment or two about each book on the list this year. In the meantime, you can see the current list to the right in the sidebar, or go to the Sitzbook page on this site (it’s also available by clicking on the tab at the top of the page that says “Sitzbook”).

I’ll also be doing my Picture of the Day project this year. You can check out my pictures on Flickr, but they’re usually a week or two behind since it takes a while to upload them. If you’re curious about last year’s completed project, you can check here or this slideshow:

And if you’d like to see January’s Pictures of the Day, have at it:

Finally, here’s a video that I thought was pretty funny. I also like the song. As you can probably see from the preview, it has some butts in it. And many of them aren’t very “pretty,” but I like how the producers were open to having all kinds of butts in it:

So, that’s it for now. I hope you’re all doing well. Thanks for reading!
